Truth and truthfulness
Truth and truthfulness always go together. When the Buddha's first five disciples doubted the Buddha's enlightenment at first, he told them: have I ever claimed enlightenment before in vain? They knew he hadn't. The Buddha's very truthfulness proved that he had now attained the truth and nothing less.
